Vancouver Island June 21 - 23, 2006

A quick trip to the island....our first stop, Bouchard Gardens. We wondered around and loved all the beautiful gardens and flowers. Savannah was fascinated with all the different colours, and loved every second of it as she does with any outdoor activity.

We spent a day in downtown Victoria, the harbour was so beautiful. Jeff's friend Phil got us tickets to go on a whale watching tour to try and catch a glimpse of an Orcas pod. There was a fabulous showing and if you paste this link into your brouser the tour company has a blog with photos and journal entries from many days in the summer, including the day we went, June 21, 2006. http://www.princeofwhales.com/

A super big thanks to Phil....we really appreciated it and had a great time. Sorry Savannah and I didn't make it to your campsite, but I heard you and Jeff had a great visit.....we'll be sure to catch you next time.

Another big thanks to Norm and his roommate Duncan who let us crash at their place in Naniamo....what a beautiful town. We had a fabulous visit with Norm (which was long overdue) and enjoyed the farmer's market down by the water. We can't wait to visit again when we have more time to explore the area.

Camping in North Georgia

The long weekend in May we packed up the car and headed north to camp with our friends Rafael and Sabrina. Here are some of the highlights of Savannah's first camping trip.....
(at 3 months old)

Rusty protecting the tent!

Savannah's favourite chair (even though she is an American)

There was a pond and creek right beside our campsite, it was perfect for Neka and Rusty.
